Each lesson is structured and follows a very close syllabus set out by the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency, (DVSA). This syllabus is the course we will go through in order to pass your practical driving test.
In order to keep track of your progress, you will have your own Progress Record linked to the syllabus so you keep track of your own learning and to ensure we cover every element.
The syllabus will progress you through five skill levels. Once you have consistently reached level five you will then be ready to take your test. The five skill levels are:
Throughout the course of your lessons, the training will be structured to meet your needs. Therefore, the structure and delivery of the lesson will be tailored to meet your learning style. As the lessons progress, this structure will reflect your needs based on your level of ability, knowledge and skill.
Each lesson, regardless of your ability, will have a focus and a goal. It is really important that you take ownership of your progress linked to the syllabus. Your Progress Record is something that you will take possession of so you can take charge of your learning. In addition to this you will also have your own Reflective Log. The Reflective Log will capture how well you are doing and this will allow you to identify what needs to be worked on and what is the best way to go about it. This process will allow you to evaluate your strengths and areas for development.

In order for your learning and development to be consistent, it is our recommendation that lessons occur weekly. However, if this is not possible the format of your lesson will allow for recapping and skill development.
